LIMITED EDITION SELF-TITLED 10-INCH EP

 Nashville, TN – November 21st, 2013 – Trigger Hippy, a new creative collective of musicians, is excited to announce their debut EP.  The powerful, soul-infused rock and roll band was founded by Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman, and features twin lead vocals from multi-platinum recording artist Joan Osborne and singer-songwriter Jackie Greene who also plays guitar and keyboards.  Rounding out the group are lead guitarist Tom Bukovac, who co-produced the EP with the band, and bassist Nick Govrik.

Trigger Hippy’s first recorded material, a self-titled limited edition 10-inch EP, will be available on November 29th at independent US record stores as part of a special Black Friday Record Store Day promotion.  Fans can download the lead track “Turpentine” for free at RELIX.COM beginning on Thursday, November 21,st the same day a lyric video for the track is being released on the band’s new website, www.triggerhippy.net.

The 4 songs on the EP were written collectively by the band who draw much of their musical inspiration “…from the members’ shared love of R&B and soul—lots of Al Green and Stax, some old blues covers and a little bit of Led Zeppelin and Little Feat thrown in for good measure” as described by The Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Built for the stage, Trigger Hippy’s early warm up shows have already garnered acclaim.  With the release of their debut EP, the band will announce extensive 2014 touring soon.
