We have a lot to cover today – let’s all pay attention so that I don’t have to repeat myself.

First things first, let’s all have a safe holiday weekend!

You know, this is easily my favorite holiday.  The thought of millions of American families gathering together to share a meal, watch football, and reflect on what Jackie’s birthday means to us, as a nation, is especially meaningful and grows in importance with each passing year.

To think that up until 31 years ago, this was just another ho-hum weekend in November……weird.

Happy Birthday, Jackie!

Of course, Jackie’s birthday wouldn’t be Jackie’s birthday without a little action at the Fillmore.  And whether Jackie wants us there or not, the rest of Trigger Hippy will show up to celebrate with him.  He can’t stop us.  We’re bigger than he is.  Deal with it, Jackie.

That leaves Petaluma and Sacramento to contend with.

By “contend with”, of course I mean, “steamroll with our spectacular, groove-infused rock n roll music”.

What better way to shake off the long holiday weekend?

It’s fair to say that I am not, by nature, a morning person.   It’s also fair to say that I am not, by nature, a Monday person.

I tend to hit my stride around mid-day on Tuesday – after that, I am on fire.  Seriously.  Wednesday?  Forget it.  By then, I’m rolling and there’s no stopping me.  The week simply can’t keep up.

But those Monday mornings…….they’re usually pretty rough.

This week is different, though.  It’s all good around here today.  My anticipation for the Charleston gig this Friday has made Monday morning feel like Tuesday afternoon.  That, of course, means that Tuesday afternoon will feel like Wednesday evening, and so on and so forth until the point where we actually hit the stage on Friday afternoon – by which time it’ll feel like it’s Saturday night.

So for all of you rocking out with us this Friday in Charleston, just go with me on the whole Saturday night vibe.  Trust me, we’ll be bringin’ it!
